We are seeking a courteous and responsible Telephone Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage incoming customer calls efficiently, accurately taking food orders for takeaway and delivery. This role requires clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to provide excellent customer service while coordinating with kitchen and delivery staff to ensure timely order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls politely and professionally, creating a positive customer experience.
- Accurately take takeaway and delivery orders, confirming items, quantities, and any special instructions.
- Verify customer details including names, phone numbers, and delivery addresses to ensure accuracy.
- Provide clear and accurate information about the menu, pricing, and current promotions or deals.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and delivery riders to ensure orders are prepared and dispatched on time.
- Address order-related questions and escalate complaints to the manager when necessary.
- Maintain precise records of all customer orders for reference and reporting purposes.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills in Urdu; basic proficiency in English is advantageous.
- Strong listening skills with keen attention to detail to avoid errors in order taking.
- Basic computer literacy and a willingness to learn the ordering system used by the restaurant.
- Ability to remain calm, polite, and professional during busy periods and under pressure.
- Prior experience in a restaurant, order-taking, or customer service role is preferred but not mandatory.
