Key Responsibilities

Define and lead the overall Quality Engineering (QE) architecture and technical strategy across diverse applications, services, APIs, data platforms, and integrations. Establish an enterprise-wide test automation architecture and framework strategy that drives consistency and efficiency.

Develop and enforce automation standards, reusable components, test patterns, and engineering best practices. Champion shift-left testing and continuous testing methodologies throughout the software development lifecycle.

Integrate quality engineering seamlessly into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines, defining quality gates and automated controls for application releases. Design comprehensive testing strategies covering functional, integration, API, UI, data, regression, and end-to-end testing.

Architect solutions focused on performance, scalability, resilience, reliability, and security testing. Define approaches for test data management, environment management, service virtualization, and test observability to enhance test effectiveness.

Identify and leverage opportunities to incorporate AI-assisted testing and intelligent test automation to improve quality and efficiency.

Provide specialized QE expertise for applications handling personal and sensitive information governed by the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL). Ensure test strategies and automation frameworks embed privacy-by-design principles.

Define compliant approaches for test data generation, including masking, anonymization, tokenization, and synthetic data creation. Safeguard personal information across test environments, logs, reports, automation frameworks, and datasets.

Collaborate closely with privacy, security, architecture, and compliance teams to translate PIPL requirements into actionable, testable technical controls. Develop validation and testing approaches for privacy controls related to consent, data access, retention, deletion, and data transfer scenarios.

Required Qualifications

Over 10 years of experience in quality engineering and test architecture roles, with a strong focus on automation testing.

Proven expertise in defining and implementing QE architecture and automation frameworks across complex enterprise environments.

Solid understanding of integrating QE practices within CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines.

Experience with AI-driven automation testing tools and methodologies.

Good working knowledge of China’s Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) and its impact on software engineering and testing practices.

Demonstrated experience working with privacy-sensitive test data and implementing data protection controls such as masking, anonymization, pseudonymization, encryption, access controls, and auditability.

Ability to collaborate effectively with privacy, security, and compliance teams to ensure regulatory adherence.
