Test Engineer L4

Key Responsibilities

Understanding Test Requirements and Test Case Design:
- Develop test plans based on thorough knowledge of business and testable requirements.
- Implement Wipro’s model-based testing approach to generate efficient test cases.
- Ensure peer review of test cases to minimize rework.
- Collaborate with development teams to identify and document test cases and maintain version control.
- Define testing criteria, scope, and parameters, including involvement in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Automate test lifecycle processes using VB macros, scheduling tools, and GUI automation techniques.

Designing and Executing Automation Framework and Reporting:
- Develop and automate software validation tests by setting up test environments, designing test plans, and executing test cases/scenarios.
- Ensure defect reports are clear, replicable, and adhere to project norms.
- Identify bugs, prepare defect reports, and communicate test progress effectively.
- Deliver work items within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) without rejection or delays.
- Create and share timely test status dashboards with stakeholders after each test cycle.
- Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, trace quality risks, and report findings to relevant parties.

Status Reporting and Customer Focus:
- Maintain professional and effective communication with customers through emails, fault tracking, and calls.
- Ensure timely delivery of Weekly Status Reports (WSRs), test execution reports, and dashboard updates in the test management system.
- Accurately update effort tracking tools such as eCube and TMS.
- Respond promptly to customer requests, ensuring zero complaints internally or externally.

Required Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in software testing and automation.
- Proficiency in Playwright automation framework.
- Strong understanding of test case design, execution, and defect management.
- Experience with automation tools including VB macros and GUI automation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with development teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and customer-centric approach.
