As a Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of our products through comprehensive testing processes. Working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, you will develop and execute detailed test plans, identify defects, and support continuous improvements in testing methodologies. Your responsibilities will include hands-on testing activities, environment setup, and contributing to both manual and automated testing efforts to ensure product reliability and optimal performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and implementing thorough test plans, strategies, and procedures for both new and existing products. This encompasses functional testing to validate hardware and software features, performance testing to assess speed and resource usage, compatibility testing to ensure interoperability across devices and platforms, and regression testing to confirm stability after updates.
- Conduct tests based on established test cases, scripts, and procedures using both manual and automated approaches.
- Set up and configure test environments and tools that simulate real-world scenarios and customer conditions.
- Execute test cases, document results accurately, and report defects with detailed reproduction steps, observed behaviors, and expected outcomes.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, developers, and product managers to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and recommend effective solutions.
- Participate in design and code reviews, offering feedback on testability, usability, and overall quality.
- Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of test automation frameworks and tools to improve efficiency and test coverage.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to incorporate relevant advancements into testing processes.
- Assist in preparing test reports, metrics, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
- Actively engage in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities to foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to testing challenges.
- Familiarity with various testing techniques, methodologies, and tools.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on accuracy and thorough documentation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges and responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Previous experience or coursework in software testing, quality assurance, or related disciplines is preferred.
- This is a full-time, in-person position offering a starting salary from Rs40,000 per month.
