Thai Expressive Voice AI Trainer

Outlier collaborates with leading AI companies to enhance how artificial intelligence comprehends natural human communication, including speech, emotion, intent, and responses in everyday interactions. We are seeking native Thai speakers who are comfortable using their voice to contribute to this innovative project. Ideal candidates bring clarity, personality, and emotional depth to short audio recordings. While professional acting experience is not required, applicants should be expressive, confident, and able to speak naturally in front of a microphone.

Key Responsibilities
- Record short audio clips with clear and expressive speech.
- Read or perform brief scripts using various tones, emotions, and speaking styles.
- Listen to and review audio clips, capturing detailed observations in text form.
- Support the improvement of AI systems’ understanding of human speech patterns, tone, and emotional expression.

Required Qualifications
- Native fluency in Thai.
- Strong vocal clarity, expressive ability, and emotional range.
- Access to a quiet, distraction-free environment for recording.
- Reliable internet connection.
- Must not reside in any restricted countries or regions, including Cambodia, Haiti, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Afghanistan, Belarus, China, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Hong Kong, Lebanon, Macau, Myanmar/Burma, Pakistan, Palestine, Russia, Somalia, Ukraine, or Yemen.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience in theater, improv, acting, or voiceover work is a plus.
- Background in classical vocal training or public speaking is advantageous.
- Having a professional microphone or a home recording setup is beneficial.
- Prior experience recording audio content is preferred.

This role is well-suited for individuals with backgrounds in acting, theater, improv, podcasting, streaming, vocal performance, call centers, sales, customer support, public speaking, or any position requiring clear and expressive communication. Outgoing and naturally expressive speakers are encouraged to apply, even without formal performance training.

Compensation
The project offers pay of up to $10 USD per hour for core tasks. Contributors may also qualify for additional incentives through “Missions,” Outlier’s surge pricing system. Compensation rates and availability of work depend on skills assessments, project needs, expertise, location, and other factors. Some onboarding, assessment, or non-core activities may be compensated at different rates.
