People Perfect is seeking a Trade & Banking Executive to oversee comprehensive trade finance operations. This role involves managing the entire lifecycle of Letters of Credit (LC), handling import and export documentation, and coordinating with banks to ensure smooth transaction processing. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of practical experience in trade finance and import/export operations, demonstrating strong organizational skills and accuracy in reconciliation tasks to support daily activities effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Letters of Credit (LC) including opening, amendments, and closure in collaboration with banking partners.
- Prepare and manage import and export documentation in compliance with regulatory standards and contractual obligations.
- Manage contract payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing aligned with trade agreements.
- Prepare and verify shipment documentation to facilitate smooth customs clearance and delivery.
- Complete import/export filings and maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
- Liaise with banks regarding trade finance transactions, addressing queries and fulfilling documentation requirements.
- Conduct regular reconciliations of trade finance accounts and transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Provide ongoing support across trade finance functions to maintain seamless operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in import/export operations.
- Solid working knowledge of LC processing and various trade finance instruments.
- Strong understanding of import/export documentation and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills to effectively interact with banks and internal teams.
- High attention to detail and precision in documentation and reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and familiarity with banking and trade portals.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
