Crescent Steel and Allied Products Limited, a diversified organization operating across four campuses with over 500 employees, is seeking motivated and value-driven individuals for the role of Trainee Engineer. This position offers a comprehensive training program focused on production, quality management, and manufacturing process improvement. Upon successful completion of the training period, candidates will be confirmed as Assistant Engineers. The role is based in the Steel Division located in Nooriabad, District Jamshoro.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance plans for machinery used in the coating and pipe production process, coordinating closely with the Line Manager.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and electronic issues, recommending improvements to enhance machine reliability and efficiency.
- Acquire skills in gas cutting and manual electric arc welding techniques.
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of PLCs, HMI systems, AC/DC motors, and drives.
- Calculate and manage raw material requirements and monitor machine hours and wastage.
- Gain familiarity with Oracle financial manufacturing modules including quality plans, inventory, and supply chain management.
- Prepare daily and monthly departmental reports.
- Understand and troubleshoot end-facing and hydro testing machines.
- Study pipe manufacturing and coating standards such as API-5L and DIN30670.
- Learn the operation of spiral pipe mills and other manufacturing and testing equipment.
- Prepare purchase requisitions for production materials.
- Oversee load and power distribution and consumer reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from a PEC-recognized university.
- Minimum CGPA of 3.0.
- Maximum age of 25 years.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Strong behavioral skills including ethics, analytical thinking, multitasking, responsiveness, enterprising attitude, problem-solving, courage, conviction, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical expertise in process improvement, quality assurance and control, report preparation, development of procedures/specifications, and analytics.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, AC/DC/Servo drives.
- Programming knowledge in Python and C# (C-sharp).
- Familiarity with solar systems including on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid setups.
- Intermediate IT skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ERP systems, and AutoCAD.
Additional Information
- The position requires relocation to the Nooriabad factory.
- A bond of PKR 300,000 is applicable for a period of two years.
- A refundable vestment of PKR 6,000 per month for three years is required, refundable upon completion of the term.
