Trainee Software Developer

Contour Software, a rapidly growing subsidiary of Constellation Software Inc. (CSI), is seeking Trainee Software Developers to join its Islamabad resource center. The selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive training program lasting 3 to 3.5 months, designed to equip them with the skills necessary to contribute effectively to enterprise-level application development. Successful interns may be offered full-time positions based on their performance during the training period.

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured training program focused on software development best practices.
- Develop, test, and maintain enterprise-level applications under the guidance of experienced developers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and enhance existing software solutions.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles and software design techniques in real-world projects.
- Utilize version control systems such as Git for code management.
- Engage with emerging technologies including Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI-powered application development.
- Work with frontend technologies like JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, React Native, Blazor, Vue.js) and backend services including REST APIs.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, meet project deadlines, and communicate effectively within the team.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong foundation in object-oriented programming, with proficiency in Java or C#.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Familiarity with SQL and basic database development concepts.
- Exposure to AI technologies such as Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and prompt engineering.
- Knowledge of frontend development using JavaScript and related frameworks.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and version control tools like Git.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and maintain high standards of quality and professionalism.
