Trainee Software Developer

We are currently seeking Trainee Software Developers to join one of our Research & Development teams. Selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive training program lasting between three to three and a half months, designed to develop their skills to work effectively on enterprise-level applications. Upon successful completion of the internship, there is a strong potential for full-time employment based on performance. This role is based at the Contour Software Karachi resource center and functions as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Key Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in the training program to develop software development skills.
- Collaborate with team members on enterprise-level application projects.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles in coding tasks.
- Develop and maintain software components using Java or C#.
- Utilize data structures, algorithms, and software design concepts to solve problems.
- Work with SQL and database development fundamentals to support backend processes.
- Engage with emerging technologies such as Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and prompt engineering for AI-powered applications.
- Contribute to frontend development using JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, React Native, Blazor, or Vue.js.
- Implement and consume RESTful APIs in software solutions.
- Use Git for version control and collaboration.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, quick learning ability, and adherence to deadlines.
- Follow professional software engineering practices and maintain effective communication within the team.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong command of English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
- Proficiency in Java or C# programming languages.
- Good grasp of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Familiarity with SQL and basic database concepts.
- Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, or AI-driven application development.
- Knowledge of frontend technologies such as JavaScript, Angular, React, React Native, Blazor, or Vue.js.
- Understanding of REST APIs and experience with Git version control.
- Ability to learn quickly, pay close attention to detail, and meet project deadlines.
- Awareness of professional software engineering standards and practices.
- Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
