We are seeking a dedicated Transport Coordinator to join our Transport Operations team at our Rawalpindi location. This full-time, onsite role operates Monday to Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM PKT. Reporting to the Senior Transport Coordinator or Transport Supervisor, the Transport Coordinator will manage end-to-end transport execution for standard and moderately complex assignments with limited supervision. The role focuses on ensuring quality planning, disciplined execution, and cost control while translating commercial commitments into reliable transport operations. The ideal candidate will contribute to strengthening team capabilities, supplier relationships, and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate complete transport and logistics operations, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
- Evaluate routes, timing, capacity, access, and operational requirements prior to booking transport services.
- Liaise with hauliers and transport partners, considering cost efficiency, availability, and performance standards.
- Confirm all bookings, equipment needs, schedules, instructions, and any additional charges involved.
- Monitor pickups, deliveries, transit milestones, and ensure proper completion of Proof of Delivery (POD) and CMR documentation.
- Identify and escalate any delays, capacity constraints, access issues, or cost deviations promptly.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready transport documentation to support transparency and compliance.
- Assist with cost control measures, billing preparation, and ensure timely closure of transport jobs.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with transport partners to enhance reliability and service quality.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- 2 to 4 years of practical experience in transport, logistics, freight forwarding, or a related field.
- Proven experience in transport planning and coordination with a strong understanding of route planning and transport cost management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, follow-up, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple transport jobs independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and proficiency in maintaining accurate documentation.
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within the Polish logistics or transport market is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with European transport and logistics operations will be an advantage.
