We are seeking an experienced Treasury Manager based in Karachi, Pakistan, with 6 to 10 years of relevant treasury experience, preferably within manufacturing, textile, FMCG, or export-oriented industries. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in corporate treasury functions, including managing banking facilities, working capital, foreign exchange, and cash-flow planning. This role requires a professional who can effectively handle complex treasury operations while coordinating with multiple departments and banking partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage both funded and non-funded banking facilities such as Running Finance, Import Finance, FE-25, and EFS/ERF, ensuring optimal utilization of working capital.
- Oversee Import and Export Letters of Credit (LCs), bank contracts, amendments, shipping documents, document retirement, guarantees, and outward remittances.
- Prepare documentation for facility renewals and enhancements, and coordinate with banks for approvals, drawdowns, settlements, and ongoing facility management.
- Develop daily fund position reports and weekly/monthly cash-flow forecasts across multiple companies and bank accounts.
- Monitor borrowing utilization, mark-up costs, repayment schedules, facility expiries, security documentation, and compliance with financial covenants.
- Manage foreign exchange exposure, including forward bookings and exchange-rate risk, ensuring adherence to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) regulations.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Imports, Exports, Commercial, Accounts, and Senior Management teams to align treasury activities with organizational goals.
- Maintain strong relationships with banking relationship managers and banking operations teams, independently managing all interactions.
- Ensure accurate treasury record-keeping and timely execution of banking transactions.
- Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel tools for treasury reporting, analysis, and cash-flow management.
Required Qualifications
- 6 to 10 years of relevant treasury experience, with at least 3 to 5 years in a manufacturing environment such as Textile, FMCG, or export-oriented organizations.
- Proven expertise in managing funded and non-funded banking facilities.
- Practical knowledge of trade finance operations including LCs, EFS/ERF, FE-25, guarantees, remittances, and related banking processes.
- Experience in facility renewal, enhancement, and bank negotiations.
- Strong skills in cash-flow forecasting and fund positioning.
- Good understanding of foreign exchange exposure, forward bookings, exchange-rate risk, and compliance with SBP regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel; experience with SAP is preferred.
- Ability to independently manage relationships with banks, relationship managers, and banking operations teams.
