Astral Logistics Solutions, a US-based trucking and logistics company, is seeking an experienced Truck Dispatcher to join our team onsite in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dispatching for the US trucking industry, with the ability to efficiently manage loads, communicate effectively with drivers and brokers, and ensure profitable operations. This role requires working US business hours, primarily night shifts, to support our fleet across the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispatch and coordinate loads for company drivers and owner-operators throughout the USA.
- Source and book loads using load boards such as DAT, Truckstop.com, and Sylectus.
- Negotiate rates with brokers and shippers to maximize profitability.
- Plan efficient routes to minimize deadhead miles and ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain ongoing communication with drivers during trips, addressing any issues such as breakdowns, delays, or detours.
- Track shipments and keep accurate records using TMS and dispatch software.
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA and DOT hours-of-service regulations.
- Manage check calls, paperwork including bills of lading (BOLs) and rate confirmations, and coordinate invoicing processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience dispatching for US trucking operations, including dry van, reefer, flatbed, or box trucks.
- Strong knowledge of US geography, trucking routes, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with load boards such as DAT One and Truckstop, as well as TMS software.
- Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written, to interact directly with US brokers and drivers.
- Ability to work night shifts aligned with US time zones (EST, CST, PST).
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to solve problems quickly.
- Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
