Truss Design Engineer (MiTek)

We are seeking a skilled Truss Design Engineer with practical experience in MiTek software to join our expanding Value Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in structural truss design and a commitment to delivering precise, efficient, and code-compliant engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize roof, floor, and wall truss systems using MiTek software.
- Prepare detailed truss layouts, placement diagrams, and fabrication drawings.
- Conduct structural load calculations, span analysis, and member optimization to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant U.S. building codes, International Building Code (IBC) standards, and specific project requirements.
- Review architectural and structural drawings for accuracy and coordination with other disciplines.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and project teams to guarantee timely and accurate delivery of projects.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior designers, fostering their growth and development.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in truss design utilizing MiTek software.
- Strong understanding of roof and floor truss systems and their structural behavior.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. building codes and IBC standards.
- Ability to accurately interpret structural and architectural drawings.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively work within multidisciplinary teams.
