Our client, National Bank of Pakistan, one of the largest and most reputable financial institutions in the country, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional for the position of Unit Head - HR Quality Assurance (AVP / VP) based in Karachi. This role is integral to ensuring that the Bank’s human resource functions operate with the highest standards of quality, compliance, and efficiency, contributing to the institution’s transformation into a future-ready, agile, and sustainable organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and periodically update the HR Quality Assurance framework, including checklists, sampling methodologies, and scoring criteria covering all HR sub-functions.
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and process manuals across the Bank.
- Plan and execute periodic quality reviews of all HR processes to verify their accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct sample-based checks on all HR functions to assess accuracy, completeness, and adherence to turnaround time (TAT) standards.
- Perform root-cause analysis of identified gaps and collaborate with respective HR function owners to develop corrective and preventive action plans.
- Undertake any other assignments as delegated by the supervisor(s).
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum graduation or equivalent degree from a university, college, or institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
- At least six years of banking experience, including a minimum of three years in HR Audit, Quality Assurance, HR Compliance, or HR Operations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strict adherence to confidentiality, data protection standards, and record-retention policies.
- Service-oriented mindset with proficiency in MS Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Candidates holding a Master’s degree and/or professional certifications in relevant fields will be given preference.
- The position offers a contractual employment term of three years, with the possibility of renewal at the discretion of the Bank’s management.

The position reports directly to the Wing Head - HR Governance, Risks, and Controls and will be based in Karachi.
