Pocket Studio is seeking a creative and skilled Video Editor & Content Creator to join our production team based in Karachi. The ideal candidate will possess strong video editing skills and a solid understanding of social media content trends. This role involves transforming raw footage into engaging, high-quality videos that resonate across various platforms. The candidate will collaborate closely with photographers, videographers, the creative team, and clients to produce content that meets project objectives and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit Instagram Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form video content.
- Produce fashion, product, user-generated content (UGC), lifestyle, brand, and corporate videos.
- Create engaging cuts, transitions, text animations, captions, and visual effects to enhance storytelling.
- Perform basic color correction and color grading to maintain visual consistency.
- Sync and edit audio, including music and voiceovers, to complement the visuals.
- Select the best footage and construct a compelling visual narrative.
- Adhere to brand guidelines and creative briefs throughout the editing process.
- Incorporate feedback from clients and the creative team, making necessary revisions.
- Organize project files efficiently and maintain proper editing workflows.
- Deliver completed projects within agreed deadlines.
- Stay updated on the latest social media video trends and editing techniques.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent professional video editing software.
- Strong understanding of video editing principles, pacing, and storytelling techniques.
- Experience creating short-form content tailored for social media platforms.
- Basic skills in color correction/grading and audio editing.
- Ability to work with various video formats and aspect ratios.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective time management with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Ability to interpret creative briefs and follow instructions accurately.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Adobe After Effects and motion graphics creation.
- Familiarity with CapCut or other short-form video editing tools.
- Background in editing fashion, e-commerce, product, UGC, or commercial content.
- Basic graphic design skills.
- Exposure to AI-based video and content creation tools.
- Good understanding of content trends on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Previous experience working in a production house, advertising agency, or creative agency.
- A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating relevant work will be highly advantageous.

Additional Information
- Location: PECHS Block 6, Karachi
- Employment Type: Full-Time
- Working Hours: 12 PM – 9 PM
- Experience: Relevant experience preferred; candidates with a strong portfolio will also be considered.
- Compensation: Up to Rs25,000 per month
