Verification Of Benefit Specialist - Medical Billing

Meds Nexus Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Verification of Benefit Specialist to join its growing team in Rawalpindi. This on-site role operates during night shifts from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday. The specialist will play a crucial role in the revenue cycle by verifying patient insurance coverage, authorizations, and benefit details prior to appointments. This ensures smooth claim processing and uninterrupted service for U.S.-based clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Contact U.S. insurance providers to confirm active coverage, copayments, deductibles, and benefit structures before patient visits.
- Manage and organize daily benefit verification queues to avoid delays in clinical scheduling.
- Maintain accurate documentation by logging detailed call notes, coverage information, and any necessary follow-up actions.
- Update insurance data and status flags in client Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) software.
- Adhere strictly to corporate data security policies, patient privacy standards, and client-specific documentation protocols.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in Verification of Benefits (VOB) for U.S. medical billing providers.
- Strong understanding of U.S. healthcare payer systems, eligibility verification processes, and prior authorization requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to navigate client-specific business rules effectively.
- Proficiency in generating detailed reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills, with clear and neutral phone articulation.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, complemented by a strong problem-solving mindset.
