We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Vice President of Project Management to lead our global Project Management organization. This executive role is responsible for driving the successful execution of strategic initiatives, complex programs, and high-impact projects. The VP will translate company objectives into structured project portfolios, scalable execution frameworks, measurable delivery plans, and effective governance processes. Collaboration with Engineering, Product, Technology, Operations, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Executive Leadership is essential to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business priorities. The role oversees Project Management, Program Management, Portfolio Management, PMO Governance, Resource Planning, Budget Management, Risk Management, Project Performance, and Continuous Improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management Strategy: Develop and implement the company’s global Project Management strategy. Establish methodologies, standards, and best practices to align project portfolios with corporate strategy and business objectives. Create scalable project planning and execution frameworks alongside governance and decision-making processes.

Strategic Project & Program Management: Lead high-impact strategic projects and complex cross-functional programs. Define project objectives, milestones, deliverables, and success metrics. Monitor schedules, dependencies, resources, and deliverables while resolving issues and removing barriers to ensure successful delivery.

PMO Leadership & Governance: Build and manage a centralized Project Management Office (PMO). Establish governance, reporting, and review processes. Standardize documentation and management practices, develop project prioritization and portfolio governance frameworks, and provide executive-level visibility into project performance.

Resource & Budget Management: Develop resource and capacity planning models. Manage project budgets, costs, and financial performance. Allocate resources based on strategic priorities and collaborate with Finance and business leaders on project investments. Optimize resource utilization and project delivery efficiency.

Risk & Issue Management: Identify and evaluate project, operational, financial, and execution risks. Establish risk assessment and mitigation frameworks. Monitor critical risks and dependencies, lead escalation and issue-resolution processes, and develop contingency plans for high-impact initiatives.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Product, Engineering, Technology, Operations, Finance, Sales, and Marketing teams. Coordinate cross-functional teams and stakeholders to establish clear communication and accountability. Facilitate executive project reviews and strategic planning sessions to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

Project Performance & Continuous Improvement: Establish KPIs, performance dashboards, and reporting systems. Monitor delivery, quality, cost, schedule, and business outcomes. Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance predictability, efficiency, and execution quality.

Team Leadership & Organizational Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Program Managers, and PMO leaders. Build a high-performing global Project Management organization by establishing career paths, competency frameworks, and performance standards. Develop leadership and succession planning programs while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required. An MBA or Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience: A minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in Project Management, Program Management, Operations, or related functions is essential. At least 10 years of senior leadership experience managing project or program organizations is required. Proven success leading complex, cross-functional, and high-value projects, with experience managing global or multi-regional project portfolios. Strong expertise in PMO governance, resource planning, budgeting, risk management, and project execution. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders.
