Video Editor For ongoing International Projects

We are seeking a creative Video Editor to join our team on a project-by-project basis, focusing primarily on editing wedding highlights, teasers, and other wedding films. This is a remote freelance opportunity open to candidates across Pakistan, with a preference for editors based in Lahore. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of storytelling, music synchronization, pacing, emotion, clean transitions, and cinematic wedding editing techniques.

Key Responsibilities
- Edit cinematic wedding highlights and teasers that capture the essence of the couple and event
- Review and select the best footage from provided media to build a coherent and engaging story
- Choose and synchronize music to complement the visuals and enhance emotional impact
- Apply clean, professional transitions throughout the edits
- Perform basic audio editing and sound design to ensure high-quality sound
- Conduct basic color correction and grading as needed to enhance the visual appeal
- Stabilize and reframe footage where necessary for a polished final product
- Incorporate client feedback and revisions promptly and effectively
- Deliver completed projects within agreed deadlines, maintaining quality and consistency

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience with wedding film editing, particularly in storytelling and cinematic style
- Proficiency in DaVinci Resolve is mandatory; applications without experience in this software will not be considered
- Strong understanding of music pacing, shot selection, and technical editing execution
- Ability to follow creative direction and handle revisions professionally
- Comfortable working remotely and managing projects independently

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Preference will be given to candidates based in Lahore, though applicants from anywhere in Pakistan are welcome
- This is not a salaried position; editors will be hired and compensated on a per-project basis with rates agreed upon before starting each project
- Shortlisted candidates will be assigned a test project involving the editing of one wedding highlight based on an actual client project
- The test project will assess storytelling, music and pacing, shot selection, editing style, technical skills, creative direction adherence, and responsiveness to feedback
- Payment for the test project will only be made if the final edit is approved by the client; if not approved, no further projects or payment will be offered
- Candidates should apply only if they are comfortable with this arrangement
- Successful completion of the test project may lead to regular project-based work depending on availability and performance
