We are looking for a talented Video Editor & Publisher to join our team on a part-time, remote basis. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting engaging short videos as well as cinematic, information-rich documentaries. Your work will involve delivering polished final edits ready for publishing, along with managing basic optimization tailored for platforms like YouTube and TikTok. The ideal candidate will have a creative eye for visual storytelling and a strong grasp of platform-specific video formats and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit 3 to 5 TikTok/Shorts videos weekly, primarily focused on AI product reviews.
- Produce 1 to 2 long-form YouTube documentaries each week, ranging from 8 to 15 minutes in length.
- Source and integrate stock video, B-roll footage, music, captions, and motion graphics to enrich video content.
- Incorporate maps, visual aids, and smooth transitions to enhance documentary-style storytelling.
- Design compelling thumbnails and create optimized titles using provided tools and guidelines.
- Organize and upload final video assets to shared folders or designated platforms for distribution.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in video editing and content creation for promotional and marketing purposes, especially related to websites, AI products, and services.
- Strong proficiency in video editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
- Demonstrated ability to edit both short-form social media videos (TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels) and longer YouTube content.
- Experience specifically editing content focused on AI topics and products.
- Solid understanding of pacing, visual storytelling techniques, and cinematic transitions.
- Familiarity with various aspect ratios, formatting requirements, and platform-specific best practices for video publishing.
This part-time role requires approximately 20 hours per week and offers the flexibility of fully remote work.
