Video Editor

Clavix Solutions is seeking skilled video editors to join our growing team, particularly to support our expanding documentary and true crime content. We work with a variety of raw materials such as bodycam footage, interrogation tapes, 911 calls, and court records, transforming these elements into compelling stories that respect the real people involved. If you have a passion for storytelling through video and a keen sense of pacing and sound design, this could be a great fit for you.

Key Responsibilities
- Edit long-form videos using Adobe Premiere Pro, collaborating with the existing editorial team.
- Build tension and narrative flow through careful shot selection and timing.
- Incorporate simple graphics, including lower thirds and evidence breakdowns, to enhance storytelling.
- Assist in structuring each case to maintain viewer engagement while handling sensitive content thoughtfully.
- Deliver final videos in 4K resolution, ensuring smooth editing and exporting processes.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of video editing experience; experience in true crime is not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of pacing, timing, and the emotional impact of sound and silence in video editing.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or similar professional editing software.
- Ability to work remotely and manage project-based assignments efficiently.
- Access to a computer capable of editing and exporting 4K video without performance issues.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience working with documentary or long-form content is a plus.
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating your editing style and storytelling ability is highly valued and preferred over a lengthy CV.
- This is a remote, project-based role with compensation paid per project, offering flexibility in your work schedule.
