Zealancy is seeking a skilled Video Editor proficient in storytelling, motion design, and AI visual generation to transform raw footage and creative ideas into compelling, high-retention YouTube content. This full-time role is based onsite in Karachi, with working hours from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Compensation ranges from PKR 45,000 to 120,000+ per month, depending on skill level, portfolio quality, experience, and trial performance. The position focuses on documentary-style, talking-head, creator-led, and long-form YouTube videos. Candidates are evaluated primarily on their portfolio and creative execution rather than job titles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage to final delivery, ensuring strong storytelling and pacing.
- Develop engaging intros and hooks that capture viewer curiosity and maintain attention.
- Structure videos to optimize viewer retention through effective pacing, visuals, and sound design.
- Create and integrate motion graphics, typography, animations, and visual effects to enhance the narrative.
- Purposefully use B-roll, graphics, screenshots, stock footage, music, and sound effects.
- Generate and incorporate AI visuals for storytelling, B-roll, concepts, and creative sequences using tools like Higgsfield AI.
- Seamlessly combine AI-generated visuals with traditional editing elements to maintain visual consistency.
- Apply basic color correction and grading where necessary.
- Translate scripts, dialogue, and creative concepts into engaging visual sequences.
- Accurately reproduce editing styles based on references without mere imitation.
- Apply fundamental graphic design and layout principles when creating visual assets.
- Manage revisions professionally and efficiently, taking ownership of projects and communicating any blockers early.
- Deliver high-quality work within agreed deadlines.

Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects with strong motion design and animation skills.
- Excellent sense of pacing, rhythm, sound design, and visual composition.
- Strong typography and layout judgment.
- Basic knowledge of color correction and grading.
- Skilled in B-roll selection and visual storytelling.
- Effective project organization and asset management capabilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot common editing and workflow issues independently.
- Hands-on experience with AI visual generation and AI-assisted creative workflows.
- Familiarity with Higgsfield AI or similar AI image and video generation platforms.
- Ability to generate, refine, and integrate AI visuals while maintaining visual consistency, realism, and quality.
- Solid understanding of YouTube storytelling techniques and viewer retention strategies.
- Strong English comprehension, especially for working with English-language scripts.
- Ability to differentiate between decorative effects and purposeful creative decisions.
- Capacity to translate scripts and abstract ideas into strong AI-assisted visual sequences.
- Familiarity with creator-led content styles, including channels like Johnny Harris and Colin & Samir.
