Zealancy is seeking a skilled Video Editor proficient in storytelling, motion design, and AI visual generation to transform raw footage and creative ideas into captivating YouTube content. This full-time, onsite role based in Karachi involves working primarily on documentary-style, talking-head, creator-led, and long-form YouTube videos. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of why edits work, focusing on pacing, visuals, sound, motion graphics, and AI-generated visuals to enhance viewer engagement and retention. Compensation ranges from PKR 45,000 to 120,000+ per month, with the level determined by portfolio strength, experience, and trial performance. The selection process closes on October 15, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:
- Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage to final delivery.
- Develop strong intros and hooks that generate curiosity and maintain viewer attention.
- Structure videos with a focus on storytelling, pacing, and retention.
- Create and integrate motion graphics, typography, animations, and visual effects.
- Use B-roll, graphics, screenshots, stock footage, music, and sound effects purposefully.
- Generate and incorporate AI visuals for storytelling, B-roll, concepts, and creative sequences using tools like Higgsfield AI.
- Blend AI-generated visuals with traditional editing and motion design to ensure visual consistency.
- Apply basic color correction and grading as needed.
- Translate scripts, dialogue, and creative concepts into engaging visual narratives.
- Accurately replicate editing styles based on references without copying blindly.
- Apply fundamental graphic design and layout principles when creating visual assets.
- Manage revisions professionally and efficiently.
- Take ownership of projects and communicate any blockers promptly.
- Deliver high-quality work within deadlines.

Required Qualifications:
- Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro and working knowledge of Adobe After Effects.
- Solid understanding of motion design, animation, pacing, rhythm, sound design, and visual composition.
- Good typography and layout judgment.
- Basic skills in color correction and grading.
- Expertise in B-roll selection and visual storytelling.
- Effective project organization and asset management.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine editing and workflow issues independently.
- Hands-on experience with AI visual generation and AI-assisted creative workflows.
- Familiarity with Higgsfield AI or similar AI image and video generation platforms.
- Skill in generating, refining, and integrating AI visuals into professional edits.
- Strong judgment regarding visual consistency, realism, continuity, and quality when using AI-generated assets.
- Good English comprehension, especially for working with English-language scripts.
- Understanding of YouTube storytelling and viewer retention strategies.
- Ability to analyze and explain why certain editing decisions work.
- Awareness of purposeful creative decisions versus decorative effects.
- Capability to translate scripts and abstract ideas into strong AI-assisted visual sequences.
- Familiarity with high-quality creator-led content and channels such as Johnny Harris and Colin & Samir.
