Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form and long-form explainer videos, typically ranging from 30 seconds to 3 minutes, for SaaS products and features.
- Convert scripts, voiceovers, and screen recordings into clear, visually engaging narratives.
- Incorporate motion graphics, kinetic typography, UI callouts, annotations, and zoom effects to highlight software features effectively.
- Precisely synchronize voiceovers, music, and sound effects with the pacing of the video.
- Create compelling hooks within the first 2–3 seconds to capture attention for social-first content.
- Add synchronized captions with styled and animated text, emphasizing key phrases.
- Repurpose long-form explainer videos into short-form reels and clips tailored for LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Ensure consistent branding across all deliverables, including colors, fonts, transitions, lower-thirds, and visual elements.
- Incorporate feedback efficiently and deliver revisions within agreed timelines.
- Work with AI-generated visuals and voiceovers, such as Veo and ElevenLabs, blending them naturally with screen recordings and other footage.
- Collaborate daily in person with the marketing team to align on scripts, creative briefs, priorities, and content requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience editing explainer, product demo, or SaaS marketing videos (portfolio required).
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects, including motion graphics and kinetic typography.
- Experience editing screen recordings with UI highlights, callouts, annotations, and zooms to clearly demonstrate software features.
- Excellent sense of pacing and rhythm to create engaging, high-retention edits.
- Ability to precisely sync captions, music, sound effects, and voiceovers.
- Understanding of platform-specific requirements such as aspect ratios, safe zones, and caption styles for LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Comfortable working from scripts and creative briefs, not just raw footage.
- Willingness and ability to work onsite full-time at the company’s office.
- Experience creating content for SaaS, B2B technology, or startup marketing environments.
- Familiarity with AI tools used in video production, including AI voiceovers, AI-generated B-roll/video, and AI upscaling.
- Basic motion design and animation skills beyond text, including icon animation, transitions, and visual effects.
