Wanile, an AI-native engineering company based in Lahore, is seeking a talented Video Editor and Motion Designer to join their team full-time on-site. The company specializes in building AI agents, automation, and software for clients across the UK, US, Europe, Canada, and the Middle East. This role offers a unique opportunity to create engaging video content that showcases real client projects through short, dynamic reels and longer documentary-style episodes. You will be responsible for managing the entire editing process—from raw footage to final upload—working closely with the founder and the team. Your work will represent Wanile’s brand and vision across multiple social platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and X.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit an average of two short-form reels daily, each ranging from 30 to 90 seconds, crafting episodic series that captivate viewers and encourage anticipation for upcoming episodes.
- Hook viewers within the first two seconds of every video using bold motion graphics, kinetic typography, fast transitions, and clean captions.
- Incorporate strong sound design elements such as risers, whooshes, hits, and well-timed silences to enhance storytelling and humor.
- Export videos in platform-specific formats including 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9.
- Produce long-form documentary-style case study episodes (8 to 20 minutes) featuring interviews, screen recordings, and office footage, maintaining a high-quality standard comparable to MagnatesMedia.
- Develop clear narrative arcs that highlight client problems, solutions, twists, and results.
- Edit client testimonial videos for YouTube and the company website.
- Collaborate with the founder to design compelling thumbnails and titles that drive clicks.
- Assist in planning shots and scripts prior to recording, and shoot simple office setups including talking heads, screens, and B-roll footage.
- Transform screen recordings of code, dashboards, and AI agents into visually engaging content.
- Organize footage, project files, and brand assets meticulously, adhering to Wanile’s brand style guidelines.
- Monitor video performance metrics such as views, watch time, and retention to continuously improve content quality.
- Meet weekly publishing deadlines consistently without supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in video editing and motion design, with a strong portfolio showcasing short-form content at a professional level.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve and After Effects, with the ability to create motion graphics from scratch rather than relying on templates.
- Deep understanding of what makes reels successful, including hooks, pacing, captions, trends, and viewer retention.
- Strong storytelling skills to construct engaging narratives with a clear beginning, middle, and twist.
- Good design sense, including typography and color theory.
- Proficient English language skills to follow scripts and edit English-language interviews.
- Ability to maintain high-quality output while handling a workload of two videos per day.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience editing for tech, SaaS, startup, or B2B brands is a plus.
- Ability to shoot and light video using camera or phone setups.
- Familiarity with AI video tools such as CapCut, Descript, Runway, or ElevenLabs to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Knowledge of 3D software like Cinema 4D or Blender for advanced scenes and camera moves.
- Experience growing a YouTube channel or Instagram page.
- Genuine interest in AI and technology, aligning with Wanile’s projects.
Wanile offers a competitive salary based on your portfolio and skills, full creative ownership of the video channel from day one, and direct collaboration with the founder without lengthy approval chains. You will tell real stories about cutting-edge AI and automation projects for an international audience. The team is young and dynamic, with a culture that includes fun events like farmhouse days and mango parties.
