The role focuses on the development of VLSI systems by defining functionalities, architecture, layout, and implementation tailored to client requirements. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the design and verification of VLSI modules or IPs, supporting clients throughout the development lifecycle, and maintaining high standards of quality and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct verification of module/IP functionality and provide customer support by understanding the architecture and creating verification environments aligned with Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
- Develop test benches and write test case code for one or multiple modules, including code review and debugging as necessary.
- Execute test cases, perform functional coverage analysis, and document results, failures, and debugging procedures on platforms such as SharePoint or JIRA.
- Perform regression testing on the entire IP functionality and complete comprehensive documentation for client delivery.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems efficiently, ensuring minimal latency and maximum performance.
- Write automation scripts for IP verification and comply with project plans and industry standards.
- Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly status reports for clients, ensuring transparent communication.
- Maintain detailed documentation and repositories of design changes, recommendations, and project history.
- Track and maintain timesheets and provide written knowledge transfer to ensure smooth project continuity.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in VLSI Physical Design Planning.
- Strong understanding of VLSI architecture and verification methodologies, particularly Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).
- Proficiency in test bench development, test case coding, debugging, and functional coverage analysis.
- Experience with regression testing and documentation tools such as SharePoint or JIRA.
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize existing systems with a focus on efficiency and reliability.
- Strong communication skills for client interactions and reporting.
