Meds Nexus Pvt. Ltd., one of Pakistan’s fastest-growing medical billing companies, is seeking a VOB Executive – Medical Billing to join their team in Rawalpindi. This on-site role operates during the night shift from 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will have a passion for healthcare workflows, exceptional attention to detail, and strong spoken English skills. The primary responsibility is to verify patient insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring smooth revenue cycle management for U.S. healthcare clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Insurance Verification: Engage directly with U.S. insurance carriers via phone and web portals to verify patient coverage details, including copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and out-of-pocket maximums before medical appointments.
- Pipeline Tracking: Efficiently manage the entire verification process for each patient to prevent scheduling delays.
- System Documentation: Accurately document call logs, verification notes, and reference numbers in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems with zero errors.
- Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Updates: Update patient billing actions and insurance information within client RCM platforms seamlessly.
- Data Security & Compliance: Follow client-specific documentation standards, HIPAA data protection guidelines, and company security protocols with high ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience as a Verification of Benefits (VOB) Specialist in a U.S. medical billing or revenue cycle management environment.
- Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of the U.S. healthcare revenue cycle, eligibility and benefits verification, and basic prior authorization workflows.
- Communication Skills: Excellent spoken and written English with a clear, professional accent suitable for U.S.-based phone interactions.
- Technical Skills: Ability to comprehend client-specific business rules, maintain accurate digital records, and produce daily verification logs.
