DialogX IO is seeking five motivated paid interns to join our team on-site in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, with a monthly stipend of PKR 25,000. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience building AI voice agents that handle real client calls for clinics, law firms, and home service companies. The program is designed as a direct hiring pipeline, with the goal of converting successful interns into full-time Voice Agent & Automations Engineers after three months.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop conversational flows that provide a seamless and efficient caller experience, ensuring no dead ends or confusion.
- Analyze recordings of real calls handled by your agents to identify issues and continuously improve conversation flows.
- Collaborate closely with the founder and team to build production-ready voice agents using modern tools such as Retell.ai, n8n, and LLM function calling.
- Troubleshoot and refine agent interactions to handle interruptions, off-topic questions, and varied caller behaviors while maintaining a natural conversational tone.
- Utilize our proprietary platform to monitor agent performance, debug call logs, and manage integrations and automations.
Required Qualifications
- Fresh graduates or self-taught individuals with demonstrable skills and projects related to conversational design, automation, or scripting.
- Strong interest in conversational AI and voice agent technology, with a willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Islamabad or Rawalpindi for the duration of the three-month internship.
- Commitment to a hands-on, client-focused role rather than a theoretical or certificate-based program.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for crafting clear, effective communication flows.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with platforms such as Retell.ai, Vapi, Bland, LiveKit, or Twilio.
- Familiarity with workflow automation tools like n8n, Zapier, or Make.
- Basic scripting knowledge in TypeScript or Python.
- Practical understanding of prompt engineering, including troubleshooting and iterative improvement.
- Previous customer-facing experience, which enhances the ability to design user-friendly call flows.
Additional Information
This internship is paid and strictly on-site; remote or hybrid arrangements are not available. It is not a short-term university requirement or an unpaid role focused on administrative tasks. Instead, interns will work on live projects with real customer interactions. The internship lasts three months, culminating in a performance review that determines eligibility for a full-time job offer. Feedback will be specific and transparent for those not selected for conversion.
