We are seeking a dedicated server to join our team, responsible for taking and delivering food and drink orders to customers. The ideal candidate will ensure that guests receive excellent service, from accurately recording orders to collecting payments. This role requires working closely with bussers, cooks, and other staff to maintain a smooth dining experience. A positive attitude and the ability to perform well under pressure are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately take food and drink orders from customers while maintaining a friendly and positive demeanor.
- Record orders on slips, memorize them, or enter them into the computer system for transmission to kitchen staff.
- Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner to enhance their dining experience.
- Have thorough knowledge of the menu and be able to make informed suggestions to guests.
- Monitor tables to ensure customers are satisfied with their meals and promptly address any issues.
- Assist food preparation staff when necessary to support overall service efficiency.
- Collect payments from customers and handle transactions accurately.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work effectively under pressure alongside bussers, cooks, and other team members.
- Capability to perform high-quality work independently without constant supervision.
- Proficiency in handling money accurately and operating a point-of-sale (POS) system.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
