VEDA Transit Solutions (Pvt.) Ltd., a prominent mass transit operator in Pakistan, is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Officer to join its team in Bahawalpur. Since its inception in 2017 with the Multan Metro Bus Feeder Project, VEDA has expanded its expertise in managing metro bus services and currently operates the Lahore Metro Bus Service. Key Responsibilities
The Warehouse Officer will be responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, unloading, inspecting, and organizing incoming materials and supplies. This role requires preparing and packing items securely for dispatch and maintaining accurate inventory records to ensure efficient stock management. The officer will operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, adhering strictly to safety and compliance standards. Coordination with transport and operations teams is essential to support smooth bus service operations. Additionally, the Warehouse Officer will assist with periodic stock audits, report any discrepancies, and maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in shipping, receiving, and unloading processes to manage inbound and outbound materials effectively. Skills in packing goods securely and accurately for storage and dispatch are essential. Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently is required. Candidates should have a background in warehouse operations, inventory control, or logistics. The role demands the ability to follow safety protocols, perform physical tasks, and maintain organized workspaces. Basic computer skills for inventory management and reporting are also necessary. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with operations and transport teams are critical to success in this position.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
A diploma or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or warehouse management will be considered an advantage. Experience in a similar role within the transportation or mass transit sector is beneficial.
