A Texas-based wholesale provider with over 4,500 retail partners and 300+ distributor relationships across more than 40 states is seeking a highly organized and analytical Wave Planner & WMS Reporting Specialist to support daily warehouse fulfillment operations remotely. This role involves planning, releasing, and monitoring order waves within the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. The specialist will collaborate closely with warehouse supervisors, inventory, customer service, and IT teams to prioritize orders and drive completion. This position requires active monitoring of fulfillment throughout the day, identifying issues, communicating exceptions, and facilitating resolution rather than simply generating reports.

Key Responsibilities

Wave Planning and Fulfillment: Review open customer orders, transfers, routes, carrier deadlines, and priorities. Build and release picking waves aligned with the warehouse’s daily schedule. Ensure orders are assigned correctly by facility, inventory location, picking zone, and fulfillment method. Prioritize same-day orders, customer deliveries, intercompany transfers, and carrier shipments. Monitor wave progress continuously, addressing orders that are delayed, partially completed, or on hold. Coordinate with warehouse supervisors to resolve issues and adjust waves as priorities shift. Prevent duplicate waves, missed orders, and incorrect releases. Maintain a daily log of unresolved fulfillment issues and communicate during shift handoffs.

Daily Reporting: Prepare and distribute detailed reports covering daily fulfillment, orders released, picked, packed, shipped, open and incomplete orders, same-day performance, short-shipped orders, inventory availability, wave productivity, and other management requests. Reports must highlight exceptions, responsible departments, required actions, and unresolved issues rather than just raw data.

Short-Ship and Exception Management: Review shorted and partially fulfilled orders daily to identify causes such as inventory discrepancies, replenishment delays, picking errors, or out-of-stock conditions. Investigate alternate bins, overstock, and other facilities as needed. Communicate actionable shortages to relevant teams and track recurring issues. Escalate orders at risk of missing deadlines and maintain follow-up until resolution.

WMS Support: Perform routine WMS tasks including order review, wave maintenance, allocation checks, hold management, and exception monitoring. Assist users with basic WMS questions and document system errors for IT support. Test approved WMS process changes and help maintain operating procedures, report definitions, and user instructions. Identify opportunities to improve wave logic, order prioritization, reporting, and workflows. Support inventory, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and transfer-related WMS processes as assigned.

Daily Operating Expectations: Be online and responsive during Texas warehouse operating hours, continuously monitor fulfillment, communicate urgent issues promptly via designated channels, maintain accurate documentation of changes and exceptions, participate in operational check-ins, and remain available during critical order-release and carrier-cutoff periods.

Required Qualifications

Experience with Warehouse Management Systems in distribution or fulfillment environments. Solid understanding of warehouse operations including receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control. Proven experience in planning, releasing, or monitoring picking waves. Strong skills in Excel or Google Sheets, including filters, lookups, pivot tables, and basic data analysis. Ability to analyze operational data, identify exceptions, and manage multiple deadlines with high attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently in a remote setting while staying connected to warehouse operations. Reliable internet connection and a professional remote workspace.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Experience with Körber/HighJump WMS or similar platforms. Background supporting high-volume wholesale, grocery, convenience-store, or consumer-products distribution. Familiarity with order allocation, inventory holds, replenishment, intercompany transfers, carrier cutoffs, and short-shipment analysis. Experience building automated or recurring fulfillment reports. Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and warehouse reporting tools. Basic experience documenting and troubleshooting WMS issues.

Additional Details

The role requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Work hours are from 7:30 PM to 4:00 AM PKT, Monday through Friday, with a half-day on Saturday. This is a remote position based in Pakistan. The company offers a market-competitive salary, tax-free income, and provides necessary equipment such as a laptop.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals seeking to leverage their warehouse management expertise in a dynamic, remote environment supporting a large-scale wholesale operation.
