Web Designer & Developer (UI/UX + Website Management)

We are seeking a talented individual who can both design and develop a modern, visually appealing website from concept through to launch. This role involves full ownership of the site on a day-to-day basis, including updating content, enhancing user experience, and ensuring the website remains fast, secure, and up to date. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working across design and development, delivering a seamless, responsive site that aligns with brand standards and business goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Design a visually striking, on-brand website with a strong emphasis on user experience and intuitive navigation.
- Build and launch the website using the platform best suited to our needs, such as WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, or custom code.
- Ensure the website is fully responsive and optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.
- Manage ongoing site updates, including adding new pages, product listings, images, banners, and promotions.
- Monitor and maintain site speed, uptime, security, and backups to guarantee optimal performance.
- Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine visibility and help customers find the site easily.
- Utilize analytics tools to track visitor behavior and suggest data-driven improvements.
- Create simple graphics and visual assets as needed to support website content and marketing efforts.

Required Qualifications

- A portfolio showcasing live websites that you have both designed and built is essential; please be prepared to provide links.
- Strong design skills, including a solid understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Proficiency in UX principles with a focus on creating easy-to-use, user-friendly websites.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or the chosen development platform.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and website performance optimization.
- Ability to work independently, manage your own time effectively, and communicate clearly with team members.
- Relevant experience in web design and development, with [X]+ years preferred.
