Web Designer

We are seeking a talented Web Designer to join our team on a full-time, remote basis, working during U.S. business hours. In this role, you will create polished, user-focused web experiences that effectively balance visual appeal with usability. You will translate project briefs and product goals into wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes, ensuring designs are responsive, consistent, and development-ready. Collaborating closely with developers and stakeholders, you will manage your designs from initial concept through implementation review. Key Responsibilities

- Translate project briefs and product goals into clear, user-centered web designs.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts before development begins.
- Design and refine layouts for mobile, tablet, and desktop screens using responsive design principles to ensure consistent experiences across devices.
- Consider how layouts and interactions translate into HTML and CSS for smooth development handoffs.
- Contribute to and maintain the existing design system, ensuring consistency across components, typography, colors, spacing, and layouts.
- Utilize component libraries and reusable design elements to support efficient workflows.
- Collaborate closely with front-end developers to ensure accurate design implementation by providing clear specifications, assets, and guidance.
- Address implementation questions and resolve design-related issues during development.
- Incorporate stakeholder and user feedback into design revisions while maintaining focus on original project goals.
- Conduct design quality assurance by reviewing implemented pages against approved designs, identifying inconsistencies, and recommending fixes to uphold high standards.

Required Qualifications

- Proven professional experience in web design, supported by a portfolio demonstrating strong visual judgment, layout skills, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Experience working with component libraries, reusable components, and auto-layout workflows.
- Solid understanding of responsive design principles and how designs translate into HTML and CSS.
- Familiarity with UX fundamentals, including information architecture, user flows, accessibility, and usability.
- Strong written and spoken English skills for clear communication with distributed teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines independently.
