Web Developer Intern

DartSyn, a technology company specializing in IoT, Robotics, Web, Mobile App, AI, GIS, and Custom Software Development for clients across the USA, UK, Europe, and Australia, is offering a 3-month unpaid internship based at NUST Ascend Tower, Islamabad. This internship provides a unique opportunity to work closely with senior developers on building websites, web applications, and dashboards, while integrating advanced AI features such as chatbots, smart search, and automation tools. Although this is an unpaid position, interns will gain valuable hands-on experience in AI-powered web development. Please note that completing the internship does not guarantee employment.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop responsive web pages and user interface components based on provided designs.
- Implement features for web applications, portals, and dashboards.
- Integrate AI APIs, including OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini, into web applications.
- Build AI-powered functionalities such as chatbots, content generation, smart search, and automation tools.
- Connect front-end interfaces with APIs and databases to ensure seamless functionality.
- Identify and fix bugs, test new features, and enhance website performance.
- Utilize Git for version control and actively incorporate feedback from code reviews.

Required Qualifications
- Currently studying or holding a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Basic experience with React, Next.js, or similar front-end frameworks.
- Foundational back-end knowledge using Node.js, Python, or comparable technologies.
- Practical experience integrating at least one AI or large language model (LLM) API into a web project.
- Understanding of REST APIs, API key management, and secure handling of credentials.
- Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL, and version control using Git.
- Ability to present at least one project (via GitHub or live website), preferably featuring an AI component.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with LangChain, vector databases, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques involving document-based chat.
- Basic skills in prompt engineering.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS for styling.
- Knowledge of deploying applications on platforms like Vercel or Netlify.

Interns will receive comprehensive onboarding and hands-on training, along with mentorship from a senior developer. Performance evaluations will be conducted at 30, 60, and 90 days to support professional growth. This internship offers valuable real-world experience in building AI-powered web products within a collaborative environment.

The selection process includes a review of the candidate’s CV and portfolio or GitHub profile, followed by a brief interview and a practical coding task lasting approximately 30 to 45 minutes. There are no fees associated with the application process.
