Sociolyze is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer to join our team remotely on a full-time basis. This role requires a creative professional who can transform raw footage into engaging short-form and long-form video content that captures attention and drives viewer retention. We are looking for someone who goes beyond basic editing—someone who understands pacing, hooks, and how to make every second of a video impactful across platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit both short-form and long-form video content tailored for social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Design motion graphics, animated text, transitions, and visual effects that enhance storytelling and viewer engagement.
- Cut and refine raw footage from stages, keynotes, podcasts, and interviews into high-retention clips.
- Manage color grading, sound design, and final polishing to ensure professional-quality output.
- Independently manage project timelines and consistently meet deadlines without requiring close supervision.
- Contribute creative ideas and innovative approaches to video content, going beyond simply executing briefs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in video editing and motion graphics.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
- Strong understanding of pacing, hooks, retention strategies, and platform-specific editing techniques.
- Deep knowledge of short-form video mechanics tailored to LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
- Ability to maintain and match an established brand voice while pushing creative boundaries.
- Organized approach to project management with clean file structures and strict version control.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience editing stage footage, keynote presentations, podcasts, or founder-led content is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with additional editing tools such as DaVinci Resolve, CapCut Pro, or Final Cut Pro.
- Motion design skills using Figma or Illustrator are a plus.
- Experience with AI-powered editing tools like Descript, ElevenLabs, or Runway is advantageous.
