Winning Product Researcher - UK Supplier Desk

M98M LTD is a UK-focused online retail company operating through several established accounts, with its entire operation managed from the Lahore office at Global Heights, Johar Town. Having traded for around two years, the company handles sourcing, listings, advertising, and order fulfillment. This role is essential as it involves identifying and selecting products to be sold online, directly influencing the success of the listing and advertising teams. The company exclusively sources from UK-based dropship and wholesale suppliers, ensuring products are stocked, dispatched promptly, and eligible for online sales. The working hours align with UK trading times, requiring on-site presence from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities
- Review supplier catalogues and data feeds to create a shortlist of potential products for sale.
- Analyze real market demand by assessing units sold in the last 30 days, competitor count, pricing, and sales volume of top sellers.
- Accurately calculate all costs including trade price, shipping, marketplace fees, and VAT to determine true profit margins.
- Critically evaluate product ideas, rejecting the majority to focus on genuinely viable options.
- Verify supplier reliability by checking stock availability, dispatch deadlines, delivery performance, return policies, and dropshipping permissions.
- Screen products for trademark issues, brand restrictions, and category limitations before submission.
- Submit product proposals with comprehensive evidence such as links, images, category details, price analysis, and sales data, responding to queries from the approval team.
- Monitor the performance of products once live, using sales outcomes as feedback to refine future selections.

Required Qualifications
- A completed bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of one year’s experience in product research for an online marketplace or dropshipping business, demonstrated through a live research task during the interview.
- Strong understanding of product economics, including trade price versus retail price, shipping costs, fees, VAT, and their impact on margins.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for fast and accurate data analysis.
- Sound judgment to distinguish genuinely profitable products from those that only appear promising.
- Residency in Lahore with the ability to work on-site during specified hours.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience working with UK wholesalers or dropship suppliers is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with marketplace research tools such as ZIK Analytics or Terapeak is helpful.

- Competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000, commensurate with experience.
- Full-time, on-site role based at Global Heights, Johar Town, Lahore.
- Shift timing from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM with a one-hour break from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
- Initial contract duration of one year, with the possibility of renewal.
