WordPress Assistant

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Assistant to join our team in Johar Town, Lahore. This full-time, onsite role requires a motivated professional capable of independently managing website development, customization, troubleshooting, maintenance, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will work closely with designers, SEO specialists, project managers, and developers to deliver high-quality, responsive WordPress websites tailored to diverse client needs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites for various clients and business requirements.
- Convert Figma designs into fully functional, pixel-accurate, and responsive WordPress websites.
- Transform AI-generated or AI-built websites into well-structured WordPress sites.
- Customize and extend existing WordPress themes, plugins, templates, and functionality.
- Develop custom WordPress features using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Utilize popular WordPress page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, and Divi.
- Work with WooCommerce, custom post types, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), forms, and other WordPress functionalities.
- Implement basic API integrations and connect WordPress with third-party services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress core, plugins, themes, PHP, JavaScript, and compatibility.
- Apply functional and design changes without disrupting existing website functionality.
- Optimize websites for speed, performance, responsiveness, and security.
- Manage website migrations, staging environments, backups, and deployment tasks.
- Review existing websites and codebases to identify problems and provide effective solutions.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail when implementing designs, functionality, and content changes.

Required Qualifications:
- 1.5 to 2 years of hands-on professional experience in WordPress development.
- Strong practical knowledge of WordPress and PHP.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience in creating and customizing WordPress themes, templates, and functionalities.
- Familiarity with Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, and other popular page builders.
- Experience working with WooCommerce and its customization options.
- Understanding of WordPress hooks, actions, filters, template hierarchy, custom post types, and custom fields.
- Basic knowledge of REST APIs and API integrations.
- Ability to accurately convert Figma designs into responsive WordPress websites.
- Capability to convert AI-generated websites or designs into clean, functional WordPress sites.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Basic understanding of website performance optimization, caching, and security best practices.
- Ability to work with existing websites and navigate unfamiliar codebases.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially in matching designs, spacing, typography, responsiveness, and functionality.
- Ability to work independently, identify problems, and implement practical solutions.
- Good communication skills with the ability to understand both technical and non-technical requirements.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience working with cPanel, Plesk, and hosting environments.
- Familiarity with Cloudflare and related services.
- Experience handling website migrations and troubleshooting hosting-related issues.
- Knowledge of third-party plugins, integrations, forms, payment gateways, and external services.

This position is intended for an experienced developer rather than a page-builder-only role. Candidates should be comfortable working with PHP and WordPress core functionalities, troubleshooting existing websites, implementing designs from Figma, managing custom requirements, and independently resolving technical challenges.

Work hours are from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday, with a market-competitive salary offered. The role requires onsite presence at our Johar Town, Lahore office.
