Resolve Capital Group, a UK-based professional services firm specializing in property, finance, and law, is seeking a Senior WordPress Developer & Designer to lead the redevelopment and ongoing management of its websites. The role supports three complementary businesses: AP Morgan (estate agency), Wiser Mortgage Advice (mortgage brokerage), and Chapter Law (conveyancing law firm). This fully remote position is based in Islamabad, Pakistan, and reports to the UK Marketing Lead. Working hours align with UK business time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. The successful candidate will blend creativity and technical expertise to take full ownership of website projects from concept through launch and continuous improvement, ensuring the digital platforms effectively support business growth and deliver an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop modern, responsive WordPress websites tailored to the specific needs of each business. Rebuild and enhance existing websites across the group’s brands, creating custom WordPress themes, templates, and plugins to meet unique requirements. Develop API integrations with internal systems and third-party platforms to streamline operations and improve functionality. Ensure all websites are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance and user experience. Maintain and continuously improve websites post-launch, adapting to evolving business goals and technological advancements. Align websites with brand guidelines to maintain consistency across all digital platforms. Research and implement AI tools and emerging technologies that add value to digital projects. Provide support for Shopify or eCommerce initiatives as needed. Collaborate closely with the UK Marketing Lead to deliver digital projects that drive business growth and enhance customer engagement.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of five years’ commercial experience working with WordPress is essential. Strong proficiency in PHP development, including custom plugin and theme creation, is required. Experience integrating WordPress with third-party APIs and a deep understanding of WordPress architecture and best practices are critical. Solid skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript are necessary, along with experience working with MySQL databases. Candidates should have a keen eye for modern web design and user experience principles. Excellent communication skills are important for confidently engaging with UK stakeholders. The ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and make informed decisions is vital for success in this role.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with Alpine.js and popular page builders such as Elementor, Bricks, or Breakdance is advantageous. A background in Shopify or eCommerce development will be highly valued. Familiarity with design tools like Figma or similar platforms is preferred. Knowledge of Git and structured deployment workflows is beneficial. An interest in AI and emerging technologies to enhance digital solutions is a plus.
