The WordPress Developer role is a full-time, remote, project-based position responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites and digital products. This role involves building custom themes and plugins, configuring WordPress installations, optimizing site performance, and ensuring responsive and accessible user interfaces. The developer will work closely with designers, product owners, and fellow developers to translate requirements into functional, secure, and scalable WordPress solutions. Troubleshooting technical issues, implementing SEO and security best practices, and supporting third-party tool and API integrations are key aspects of the role. Managing project timelines, communicating progress effectively, and delivering high-quality solutions aligned with client and company standards are essential responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain WordPress-based websites and digital products.
- Build custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to project requirements.
- Configure and optimize WordPress installations for performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborate with designers, product owners, and developers to implement functional and user-friendly interfaces.

Required Qualifications

- Strong front-end development skills, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design.
- Solid web design and UX capabilities to create visually appealing and user-friendly WordPress interfaces.
- Proficient back-end development skills with PHP, MySQL, and API integration specific to WordPress.
- Extensive experience in theme customization, plugin development, and performance optimization within WordPress.
- Familiarity with WordPress CMS administration, security best practices, and version control systems such as Git.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear communication in English.
- Prior experience in a similar WordPress Developer role, with a portfolio or examples of WordPress projects highly desirable.
