YouTube & Reels Video Editor – YouTube SEO & Viral Content

We are seeking a creative and experienced YouTube & Reels Video Editor who is well-versed not only in video editing but also in understanding how content performs on YouTube and other short-form platforms. The ideal candidate will have the ability to transform raw footage or content ideas into captivating videos, including YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Facebook Reels, and other short-form formats that drive views, watch time, and engagement. This role requires a strong grasp of content trends, audience retention strategies, and platform-specific optimization techniques.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit professional and engaging YouTube videos, Shorts, and Reels that capture and maintain viewer attention.
- Create compelling hooks within the first few seconds to boost viewer retention rates.
- Incorporate captions, transitions, motion graphics, sound effects, B-roll, and background music as appropriate to enhance video quality.
- Convert long-form videos into dynamic short-form clips and Reels suitable for various social media platforms.
- Apply YouTube SEO best practices to help videos rank higher in search results.
- Conduct research on relevant and trending topics within the niche to keep content fresh and engaging.
- Suggest creative and searchable video topics and content ideas aligned with audience interests.
- Write or recommend SEO-friendly and click-worthy video titles to maximize reach.
- Prepare optimized YouTube descriptions, keywords, hashtags, and tags to improve discoverability.
- Identify what makes a video potentially viral by analyzing current content trends and audience behavior.
- Analyze competitors and successful videos to uncover new content opportunities.
- Monitor and interpret key YouTube metrics such as click-through rate (CTR), audience retention, watch time, and engagement to inform content strategy.
- Propose thumbnail concepts designed to increase CTR and overall video performance.
- Optimize videos continuously based on performance data and analytics insights.
- Maintain a consistent editing style and branding across all video content.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and updates related to YouTube, Shorts, Reels, and social media platforms.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience editing YouTube videos and Reels/Shorts with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Solid understanding of YouTube SEO and content optimization techniques.
- Knowledge of viral and trending short-form content formats.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar tools.
- Ability to produce fast-paced, engaging edits that hold viewer attention.
- Good understanding of storytelling elements including hooks, pacing, and viewer retention strategies.
- Basic knowledge of thumbnail strategy and design principles.
- Ability to independently research topics and competitors to generate relevant content ideas.
- Strong communication skills and ability to meet deadlines consistently.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

Candidates with prior experience working on YouTube channels and a demonstrated track record of growing views, subscribers, engagement, or video rankings will be given preference.

Compensation: Rs 23,000 to Rs 90,000 per month
