The candidate is responsible for performing a variety of functions to ensure that all applications run smoothly and that all customer inquiries are appropriately addressed.

The major tasks, duties, and responsibilities that make up the application support analyst job description are shown below:

  • Responsible for installing, configuring, and administering application servers
  • Responsible for the set-up and configuration of web server, iOS and Android server,
  • Responsible for the set-up of interconnections to external interfaces, including Java, Mail server, and web services.
  • Monitor the software application, and document and analyze problems.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate alerts that cannot be resolved to the appropriate section
  • Develop test plans to verify the logic of new or modified applications.
  • Maintain system documentation.
  • Prioritize and handle service requests and incidents
  • Progress issues and provide relevant information for troubleshooting or clarification
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to departmental initiatives
  • Work collaboratively with departmental Managers on change requests, manage issues, and establish priorities.
  • Resolve system problems during non-business hours or backlogs by providing off-hours support as needed
  • Ensure the performance of daily health checks of the applications, scripts, and infrastructure.
  • Develop scripts work to automate repeatable manual tasks
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving application or infrastructure issues.

Requirements – Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Possess more than three (03) years of hands-on experience working in an application’s production support/application development environment.
  • They must also possess detailed knowledge of multiple systems, as well as an in-depth understanding of the functionality of these systems to troubleshoot and resolve application or infrastructure issues
  • Advanced knowledge of front-end and back-end programming languages, such as C#, Javascript, Python, and Kotlin.
  • Ability to manage code migration, document configuration changes, and monitor performance.
  • Exceptional ability to provide front-end support to internal departments and web-based clients.
  • Advanced proficiency in determining the causes of application errors and repairing them.
  • Knowledge of Advanced Encryption Standards (AES).
  • Ability to keep up with innovation in application design
  • Acceptance of ownership
  • Investigation and diagnostic skills & attention to detail
  • Proactive approach & ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
