Senior Software Engineer (PHP)

GrayMath is seeking a senior PHP Developer with strong experience of design, development & implementation of web applications.
We are looking for a self-motivator, (technical degree or equivalent), who has a passion for producing high quality work.
Experience should defy your years of service in the industry as you will be involved in all aspects of a project life-cycle including scoping, technical advice, construction and implementation.

Required Skills

Demonstrable 7+ years of experience with PHP, and different frameworks e.g. Symphony, Zend, Laravel etc.
Hands on experience of working with front end technologies Angular, JQuery, JavaScript etc.
Understands and practices secure coding practices.
Excellent SQL skills
Demonstrable recent experience with the AWS stack, including S3, EC2, RDS, Cloud Formation etc
Capable of developing architecture roadmap, and a solid understanding of micro service
Basic DevOps experience: comfortable with operating and extending continuous delivery capabilities based on Cloud Formation, Code Build, Jenkins etc
History of applying good engineering practices in delivered software.
Excellent documentation skills and be able to guide the team to build a strong knowledge base.
Attention to detail.

As a Senior Dev, you will:

Design and develop software, taking responsibility for architecture and long running projects
Should be able to familiarize himself with existing code base, identify the potential improvements and setup good practices
Support and mentor a development team, which may include local and remotely based team members
Share responsibility for managing production systems and troubleshooting issues

Bonus Skills

Deep understanding of SQL, Data Modelings, database technologies and block chain
Experience with Atlassian product suite (principally Jira, Confluence and Gutbucket)
Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Selenium and Spec flow
