What the first 30-60-90 days in the job will look like?
-Within 30 days you will:
Attend and graduate from our company-wide on boarding process along with a detailed orientation program where you will learn about Jazz’s core values, business, and products
Be part of the Analytics onboarding program, where you learn about the daily functioning of the department from your peers
Understand and experience the matrix functioning of the department, be assigned to a function and a practice, and attend daily huddles and practice meetups
Meet the relevant stakeholders concerning your team
Develop understanding of your division, function, its structure, and your role within the microcosm
 
-Within 60 days, you will:
Establish good relationship with relevant stakeholders
Identify improvement areas in both the processes and the outcome of Analytics function
Develop understanding of existing Data sources and associated Reporting mechanisms
Hands on working on the Adhoc Information Delivery functionality
 
-Within 90 days to onwards you will:
Identify the improvement areas and propose solutions to fill those gaps
Be part of a function addressing a business concern or growth area
Understand the business, and work towards improving customer perception
Deliver on the practice backlog, to improve standards and learning within the team
 
A bit about you:

The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, truthful, innovative, collaborative and customer focused, and must demonstrate from previous experiences these abilities. We are looking for someone with relevant experience in the Data Engineering domain, and worked in Agile teams.
 
A bit about us:
Data Engineering is a sub-team within the Data Analytics function, which is part of the Analytics & Insights Department. The department reports to the Chief Commercial Officer, and works very closely with both internal and external stakeholders to provide reporting & insights on the business. We have established a data driven decisioning culture within Jazz, and relevant and accurate insights are at the core of every choice that we make, and the department enables that.
 
The structure of the team you will join is:
·            A 40-member team (including the department head) with 2 sub teams.
·            You will be part of a 20-member practice reporting to the Data Engineering Practice Lead
 
The two (02) main priorities of the team as a whole are:
·            Delivering on the functional backlog across the value chain, from Operations to Development to Reporting and Program Management
·            Setting up standards and improvements for Data Engineering and Analytics
 
The two (02) specific tasks that team was working on in the last 6 months with results.
Datawarehouse Migration from Teradata to DB2WH
Rolling out Agile Practices to the Analytics & Insights team
 
The three (03) must have past experiences the best candidate should have.
Experience with either Analytics and DataWarehousing, or Data Science and App Development
Experience working in the Big Data Domain
Experience working in Agile squads
 
One must have technology the candidate should have.
Databases/SQL/Python
