I started my professional career, as an elementary school teacher in a private school. Being a young and passionate teacher in the field of education, I learnt to analyze education problems and the teaching experience, inspired me to bring about change in the education system.
The enthusiasm and passion to bring change, has never let me sleep a single day. I was struggling with thoughts regarding bringing about change so much that I become a “change agent “myself.
I passed the entry test with the highest score, and joined the Teacher Education Department. During my four year degree studies, I learnt so many skills that contributed to making me a change agent.
During my degree studies, I was awarded with USAID scholarship, Tablet PC and PM laptop. The scholarships boosted my confidence and I studied day and night, until I completed my B.Ed(Hons) Elementary studies, with 3.93 CGP from University.
After my graduation, my dream of working for education, became a reality when I joined USAID, as a District Academic Coordinator, in Chemonics International, for implementing the USAID funded, Non-Formal Education (NFE) Project in Khairpur district. I have also worked as a Co-trainer, to train the NFE teachers.
Being a fresh graduate in the field of education, I have come to know the real challenges that education faces. During my field visits,I saw the pathetic conditions of schools in rural Sindh, where hundreds of children don't go to school. My first job was to motivate the community, to enroll their children between the ages of 6-16 years in NFE centers, so that they could have access to education.
Still, my thirst for knowledge has not been quenched. I applied for M.Phil in Educational Leadership and Management in SUKKUR IBA University, passed the GAT-general examination(s) with flying colors and enrolled in M.Phil studies. Currently, I am looking for job opportunities in INGOs and NGOs that are working for the Education cause.
