The Project:
Disaster and Climate Resilience Improvement Project (DCRIP): PDMA Punjab is implementing this project in twenty Districts of Punjab with the support of World Bank. This will support the restoration of resilient flood protection infrastructure and the strengthening of government capacity to manage disasters and climate variability.

Job description:
• Management & support the implementation of Flood Emergency Reconstruction & Resilience Project (FERRP-WB), Disaster & Climate Resilience Improvement Project (DCRIP-ADB) focusing on flood emergencies, reconstructions, resilience and climate change impacts.
• Coordination and support to the Districts field teams under Project Implementation Unit (PIU).
• Facilitate knowledge building and knowledge sharing among all stakeholders at different Districts.
• Support to the development of Project strategies at Provincial level implementation, explore challenges, opportunities and options to achieve the desired objectives.
• Support the Capacity Enhancement of the relevant Government Departments and other stake holders.
• Build linkages and synergies among all DDMAs at the district level in developing resource maps & establishment of effective early warning system (EWS).
• Support relevant Government Departments for the development of new and improved community based Disaster Risk Management Planning.
• Provide feedback to the PDMA-PIU as required by the DG- PDMA &, Project Director PIU. Simultaneously DDMAs, Deputy Commissioners and other relevant stakeholders.
• Timely submission of different reports to PDMA including progress and achievements of PIU highlighted against the outcomes and outputs of the approved project document.

The Project:
United Nations, Maternal & Child Stunting Reduction Programme (UN-M&CSRP): PIP managed through self-implementation as a WASH partner in three Districts of Sindh with the partnership of UNICEF.

Job Descriptions:
• Responsible for developing strategic plans, annual and quarterly work plan as envisaged in the project proposal.
• Prepare detailed district implementation plan and ensure quality implementation all interventions.
• Ensure that effective monitoring systems are in place , data analyzed for program improvement, transparency, accountability and measurable outputs of all activities.
• Ensure compliance in all the processes as per the Plan International policies.
• Work closely with project team to review their performance and capacity development needs in line with the project implementation strategy.
• Ensure that good quality and timely performance appraisals are conducted for all project staff and help identify professional development opportunities for interested staff.
• Ensure that targets in terms of ODF villages are achieved and sustained in line with proposal agreed with donor.
• Support project team members for smooth implementation of project activities.
• Supervise and ensure achievements of the project objectives as per project document.
• Manage timely submission of quality periodic reports.
• Supervise administration and finance related activities to ensure compliance with agency and donor’s financial requirements.
• Regular (monthly) review of program and finances using project and financial management system (SAP).
• Manage community mobilization and advocacy components of the project.
• Maintain strong coordination with key government authorities other stakeholders for smooth project execution.
• Represent Plan International Pakistan before the Government and its departments, partner organizations in the districts and provincial level.
• Regular participation in district level coordination meetings, seminars and events.

The Project:
South Asia WASH Results Programme (SAWRP-DFID): First large scale results based/payment by results project in the five Districts of South Punjab. Plan International implemented this project with PATS approach through different IPs in partnership with DFID.

Job description:
• Maintain strong and cordial coordination with Local Government, HUD- PHED, Health, Education, PDMA, P&D departments at provincial level.
• Coordination with all sector stakeholders for smooth project execution as well as to represent Plan International Pakistan at the Provincial level.
• Coordinate and support advocacy /activities (meetings with government high officials, parliamentarians, Policy makers, Development partners etc.) at the provincial level to highlight Plan WASH programme.
• Highlight the issues around waterborne disease prevention & control to ensure that a strong and effective relationship of Plan International with government departments is maintained.
• Responsible to arrange and conduct provincial level seminars / review workshops/ policy dialogues and also conduct parliamentarian meetings for prioritization and implementation of WASH programme.
• Work closely with the NPM-WASH, Project Manager, Communication Manager and other media colleagues to support implementation of communication & media strategy.
• Develop strong professional linkages with journalists and other media personnel at provincial level.
• Represent Plan International, Pakistan in different advocacy working groups, meetings and briefing sessions.
• Responsible for any other task assigned by line manager.

Child Friendly Spaces (CFS) Project: Under this project we established camp schools and CFS for the children who were affected by flood in three Districts Ghotki, Muzaffargarh and DG Khan in partnership with SIDA.
Job description:
• Management of the Flood response project in the administrative and technical tasks, procedures for smooth implementation on ground.
• Providing CFS to the flood affected guidance and support to the field and IP staff in the implementation of project.
• To prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) based on the lesson learnt during the execution and thereafter, addressing the identified gaps.
• Pro-actively engaging in networking/lobbying with government partners, donors, national and international organizations within the sector.
• Presenting the organization, networking, attending clusters meetings, workshops and share experience and information.
• Providing support in budget implementation. Preparation of different reports and timely dissemination to the donor agencies and relevant stake holders.
• Planning, organizing and provision of technical and administrative support in implementing the flood response as per developed strategy with special focus on children/youth.
• Facilitating learning and exchange of good practices on flood response, including its documentation.
• Regular monitoring of the different projects to ensure that the project is achieving the required targets.

The Project:
WFP/GFD Project & School based WASH & DRR Project: The Emergency Project of General Food Distribution (GFD) for the Flood affectees at District Sanghar in partnership with UN-WFP. Later on another School based WASH, DRR and Child Protection project with the support of CIDA.

Job description:
• Management of the Flood response programme in the administrative and technical tasks, procedures for smooth implementation on ground.
• Providing guidance and support to the field and line staff in the implementation of programme.
• To prepare standard operating procedures (SOPs) based on the lesson learnt during the execution and thereafter, addressing the identified gaps.
• Pro-actively engaging in networking/lobbying with government partners, donors, national and international organizations within the sector.
• Presenting the organization, networking, attending clusters meetings, workshops and share experience and information.
• Providing support in budget implementation. Preparation of different reports and timely dissemination to the donor agencies and relevant stake holders.
• Planning, organizing and provision of technical and administrative support in implementing the flood response as per developed strategy with special focus on children/youth.

• Field visits for onsite verification of work and ensuring required standards; Supervise team of project staff and provide guidance and oversight to field operations/activities.
• Regular monitoring of the different projects to ensure that the programme is achieving the required targets.

The Project:
UN-FAO, ERCU Project: The Emergency Rehabilitation & Coordination Unit (ERCU) of the United Nations in partnership with USAID. The project involved distribution of seeds and fertilizers to the flood affectees of South Punjab. Later on, in the rehabilitation phase managed the cleanliness of “Khaals” through CFW and FFW.
Job description:
• Prepare a detailed operational work plan at the Regional & Districts level, for both FAO staff and IP coordination.
• Ensure effective implementation of project activities, like distribution and CFW as per agreed work plan.
• Ensure liaison with the relevant Logistic & procurement staff at provincial and national level for a timely and safe delivery of project inputs.
• Ensure timely distribution of agriculture inputs to target beneficiaries.
• Coordinate the relevant FAO regional staff for the regular monitor of project activities; ensure smooth implementation of the project activities with implementing partners and other stakeholders.
• Represent FAO in the relevant regional and district level coordination for government and committees.
• Ensure the implementation of baseline and livelihood assessments surveys in the areas targeted by the project.
• Liaison with local key stakeholders in the region as required for successful project implementation.

The Project:
Rehabilitation of IDP’s at Malakand Division: UN-Habitat in Partnership with UNHCR, the project involved construction of emergency/transitional shelters, social mobilization, organization, awareness raising and capacity building regarding construction of shelters.
Job description:
• Support and coach UN-HABITAT staff to ensure a coherent and integrated work of the team in the project area.
• Lead the local team and provide quality information and analysis, facilitating sharing experiences and learning.
• Liaise and coordinate project activities with different clusters, PDMA, FDMA, government line departments and local communities. ( Jirga /VOs).
• Coordinate and liaise with DCOs and pertinent local authorities, local partners, local stakeholders at provincial/ district level for the implementation of sustainable project.
• Organize and coordinate general coordination meetings with local Government, Humanitarian and relief organizations with respect to project activities.
• Monitor project activities, CFW and Shelter with IPs and UN-HABITAT staff.
• Arrange visits of UN-HABITAT senior staff, donors, other UN agencies and Coordination with all stake holders.

The Project:
Rural Housing Reconstruction & Rehabilitation Project: Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Project of earthquake affectees AJK and KPK in Partnership with ERRA. The project involved social mobilization, organization, awareness raising and capacity building through various capacity building programs.
Job description:
• To ensure the quality of the services by the project to the beneficiaries groups, supervise and coordinate all the activities at the centre as well as at field level, under the mandate of the project as well as organization.
• Management of field team at regional level.
• Development of monthly, quarterly and yearly work plan of activities and supporting/leading field team.
• Selection, training, monitoring & evaluation of Social Mobilizers, Senior Social Mobilizers.
• Establishment of Village reconstruction committees (VRCs) for reconstruction process.
• Trainings of activists and local leaders.
• Linkages development between ERRA and effected communities.

The Project:
Emergency Shelter Project

Job description:
• Rapid Need assessment of the earthquake affected areas in Banna Allai - NWFP for the emergency relief and distribution activities.
• Preparation of relief and distribution operation plans for immediate distribution.
• Distribution of the CGI sheets, relief goods and material in the affected areas for the relief operations.
• Staff Training and capacity building for the rapid field operation.
• Coordination and networking with other organizations for field joint activities.
• Preparation and development of the field operation reports and reporting to head office on updated situation of the affected area.

National Rural Support Program (NRSP) executed the project aiming at poverty alleviation through participatory development approach and micro credit program. To achieve overall objective, the project envisaged full involvement of local people in the project activities through community share and income generating activities.
Job description:
• Capacity building of grassroots institutions both at primary (COs) and secondary level (clusters) by imparting various managerial skills and equip them to take charge of development affairs on sustainable basis.
• Design and organize trainings for professionals involved in execution of conceptual as well as program packages and groom them for advance services delivery methods required in integrated development process.
• Impart and demonstrate the trainings on participatory rural appraisal (PRA) to the staff and community activists for preparation of village development plans.
• Coordinate with line agencies to organize various small scale projects to substantiate the income level of rural poor.
• Assist the professionals of social mobilization, micro credit & enterprise development and in undertaking prescribed interventions with conceptual clarity and optimum benefits.
• Design and organize various comprehensive training events, seminars, workshops, campaigns and exposure visits for professionals and community members.
