Power Distribution engineer for Shutdown, Mini Project

Set up or support the Project Procurement execution Plan at an early phase of the project
➢ Fully conversant with all the relevant procedures, codes and specifications by the international
customers
➢ Responsible for inquiries, tender evaluation and selection of vendors
➢ Negotiation with subcontractors and advise on awarding of contracts
➢ Cost control for all procurement packages (budget, commitment, actual, forecasts, variations
and invoicing)
➢ Spends & market analysis/market intelligence, cost analysis, Sourcing, SRM
➢ Follow-up of the procurement activities and performance with the subcontractors
➢ Weekly/Monthly reporting of status with regards to all Procurement activities, including plan
and budget
➢ Contribute to develop competence in the Supply Chain Department

Installation of MV and LV Motors
• Installing of all types of cable trays, Ladder try, Punch try
• Cable pulling from substation to field side according to drawing.
• Installation of Power transformers and scot transformers
• Installation of MCC and PCC panels
• Installation of CCTV cameras
• Cover overall plant grounding system
• Installation of lightening protection system
• Installation of switch gear and surge protection system
• Insulation of street lights and over all plant lighting system
• Underground cable pulling and conduit installation
• Power panel installation in field sides
• Installation of plant fire and gas alarm systems
• Glanding and termination of MCC, PCC, Motors, transformers,
• Lighting, CCTV cams, Power Outlets and Welding Outlets on field side

Verify the progress daily, weekly and monthly basis.
➢ To take corrective action for any deviation occurred from time to time.
➢ To recommend revision of plans where ever required.
➢ Coordinate with the site supervisors to meet the site requirement for materials,
equipment and manpower according to the plan and follow up the provisions of the
same with the project management and other departments.
➢ Analyze all the problems affecting the progress and solve them together with the
project manager or site Managers.
➢ Check the subcontractors’ monthly invoices according to the contractual conditions
with them prior to approval by the project manager.
➢ Coordination with the site Supervisors and subcontractors to achieve the required
technical and administrative integration.
➢ Coordination with the consultants, Site manager and subcontractors to achieve the
required technical and administrative integration.
➢ Observe the progress in the field and check the conformity of the executed works to
the required specifications, the instructions of consultant and the approved progress
tables.
➢ Give instructions to the site engineers about all matters related to the progress of
works.
➢ Provide timely reports to the site manager on any urgent needs about the work
progress at site including his proposals and recommendations.
➢ Carry out any works required by the project management within the scope of his
work

Visual inspection
• TTR test, Insulation test, Resistance test, Protection relay test, Temperature rise test
and Loses with Load and no load for transformers
• Meggering for MV and LV cables
• HI-POT test
• Motor SOLO run tests,
• For MV Switchgear, O/L Tripping time, Over current time, Over current
Instantaneous, Ground fault value, Under volt value, Current balance value, Max
tripping no, Setting the value of the meter ( KV, KW I, V, PF, ), Setting the value of
SEC meter supply

Supervises electrical supervisors and foremen\'s.
• Perform material take-offs and prepares BOQ.
• Duties encompassed reporting progress, construction problems, resources and
administration.
• Delivered quality construction by closely monitoring the works.
• Liaise with the client and consultants resolving all on-site and contractual problems
• Supervise project execution, evaluate and monitor manpower productivity
• Schedule the work in accordance to project timeline and deadlines
• Maintain the different phases of the project and evaluate all the technical problems
and resolve them
• Maintain the safety measures on site and ensure that all quality control regulations
are met
• Coordinate with consultants, architects, and other stakeholders
• Prepare Technical documents and ensure that the work was carried in accordance to
the drawings and specifications
• Calculate production cost & thereby provide inputs for pricing strategy.
• Write reports about work process and completion rates
• Responsible for allocating work among team members for timely completion of
project
