Providing leadership and strategically direction to operational team, ensuring that clinical and non-clinical operations are conducting in a professional ways and technical activities are performed consistently in line with organization’s vision, mission, goals and objectives. Leading the business of OBGY, Consulting Clinics, Online Video-Tele Clinics, Radiology, Vision Care Program, Out Patient Cardiology Program, Dental Department, Medical Record Department, Appointment and Information Department including marketing, budgeting, staffing, complaints handling, maintain the strategies to achieve volume, performance reporting, data analysis, foreseeing market opportunities, community needs and over all its dynamic for quality care of the people to whom we serve.
Program Development/Management
§ Technically lead MERF health project Planning and design in close coordination with MERF team at the District and Head Office level.
§ Build capacity of Health Services Manager Coordinators and Clinical Superintendent in fulfilling the assigned tasks.
§ Ensure good performance of the health technical staff unit through objectives setting and performance.
§ Monitor the progress per health facility supported according to KPI’s and ensure improvement.
§ Ensures the KPI’s defined in project agreement are adhered to and report to Project Manager on:
§ Highlights difficulties encountered, suggest solutions and take initiative to meet targets.
§ Ensure that early warning systems and contingency plans are in Place for investigation and control of outbreaks of infection disease and other health issues of concern.
§ Compile and prepare weekly and monthly medical activity and DHIS reports.
§ In collection with the Program Manager undertake responsibility over the assigned budget and making sure funds allocated are fully and appropriately spent.
Technical Support & Quality Assurance:
§ Ensure effective and quality health programing with support MNE through appropriate baseline surveys and health need assessments whenever needed.
§ Ensure effective management of drugs, medical equipment and medical supplies, prevent stock outs and rise timely procurement request.
§ Conduct regular technical reviews of the project with the team and follow up on the assigned tasks.
Representation & CoordinationÂ
§ Participate and technically represent MERF at the district and provisional level in meetings, provide regular technical updates in such forums and to the Senior Management.
Human ResourcesÂ
§ Ensure technical and health management skills of health staff through ensuring the provision of formal & informal trainings by their supervisors.
§ Provide supervision and direction to program staff.
§ Identify staffing gaps and assist in the recruitment and training of appropriate staff.
§ Line manage senior health staff.
§ Coordinate provision of coaching, training, capacity building and technical support to medical staff on the planning, implementation and management of health related activities.
