To in sure reporting to the ERU Coordinator / Deputy Coordinator regarding their work and weekly / monthly work-plans management of working hours, leaves and other administrative issues during the field.
The LHC will perform her duties following the official working hours and week days within the assigned health facility.
Develop liaison and good relation with the mothers / caregivers of the target age group children.
Shall address the concerns and reservations of the families regarding all antigens, with special focus on polio vaccine, in a professional and respectable manner.
Collaborate with field staff community health workers, area supervisors for getting information regarding pregnant ladies in the catchment area and support vaccination of newborn babies with first 48 hours of birth.
Shall provide professional counseling to the mothers and caregiver on key family health practices and health seeking behavior.
To conduct regular community engagement sessions regarding misconception against immunization.
Prepare and distribute health education materials, including reports, bulletins and visual aids such as films, videotapes, photographs, and posters.
Develop, prepare and coordinate grant applications and grant-related activities to obtain funding for health education programs and related work.
To ensure enabling and conducive environment within the health facility for active vaccination, importance of vaccination, crowd management, and information regarding AEFI to the parents.
