Manage all technical and administrative issues related to the ‘Clinical laboratories Services’ department.
Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to clinical laboratories services.
Formulate and implement policies/ procedures for operations and maintenance of the biomedical equipment.
Mentor and counsel, the Clinical laboratories staff and manage their productivity on daily basis.
Ensure effectiveness of operations, efficient utilization of personnel and supplies, and an ethically and professionally sound atmosphere at the workplace.
Interacts with patients/ attendants and resolves their problems promptly and effectively.
Secure and maintain the physical facilities, equipment and supplies which are required to carry out effective patient care.
Facilitates the management in meeting the requirements related to the budget, capital equipment, operating expenses, resources, and timelines.
Participates in official meetings of Total Quality Management and Quality Assurance to continuously improve the quality of the department.
Coordinates with other departments like the administration, Human Resource, ICT, Maintenance, Purchase and Finance for the fulfilment of various Clinical laboratories related tasks.
Ensure and participate in developing minimal standards of care, screening, disease management and provision of care to meet the standards of PHC and JCI etc.
Coordinate the department’s in-service training and development programs.
Cooperate in planning, safety and preparedness programs for fire and disaster.
Attend and participates in hospital committees, as per guidelines of the management.
Responsible for providing 24/7 functionality of Clinical laboratories Services at the hospital.
Assists Chief Medical Officer with management and control of Clinical laboratories operations.
Checks and Monitors Quality Control & Quality Assurance procedures as per the set standards of the hospital.
Checks and reviews standard operating procedures as required by regulatory bodies.
Interactions with vendors/ suppliers for evaluation, requisition and commissioning of new and advanced technologies/ equipment related to clinical laboratories.
Review and ensure compliance of departmental policies and procedures in compliance with PHC/ISO /JCIA.
Developing strategic plans for the clinical laboratories services, to ensure the services provided are progressive, responsive to internal and external demand, patient-focused, efficient, and effective.
Provide leadership and direction to the under-supervision staff ensuring that operational, professional, clinical, and technical activities are performed consistently in line with the organizational vision, mission, goals & objectives.
Supervise and ensure maximum uptime through efficient SOPs/ Policies at the hospital.
Ensure operation and regular calibration of clinical laboratories equipment as per OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers) instructions.
Conduct inspection, technical training, installation & commissioning of newly inducted biomedical equipment.

Supervises and trains staff in the performance of clinical laboratories functions - both administrative and technical operating procedures. Evaluates staff proficiency and performance.
Performs clinical laboratories testing – hematology, immunohematology, bacteriology, mycology, urinalysis, immunology, chemistry, endocrinology, serology.
Parasitology. Obtains and processes specimens; performs tests; interprets and reports results.
Reviews test results, follows-up on abnormal and critical values.
Stays abreast of new tests, new procedures, and new technology in the Medical Technology field. Initiates discussion with medical and administrative personnel regarding implementation of new methodology, tests, and procedures as appropriate.

Establish the Clinical Laboratories in all new Indus Hospital Network campuses in all cities of Pakistan.
Co-ordinate with the project team to streamline lab services
Draft budgets of all new sites including CAPEX and OPEX

Ensure policies and procedures are followed by all staff in all outreach laboratories.
Streamline uninterrupted supply chain to clinical laboratories of all campuses
Plan annual budgets, in liaison with the managers/asst managers/supervisors of the outreach clinical laboratories.
Ensure costing of all lab tests on all outreach sites in liaison with the outreach clinical laboratories team leads and finance.
Participates in the performance evaluation of the staff directly reporting in all outreach sites
Supervise Inventory Management include LC, loan, local demand, audits etc.
Establish and maintain appropriates records and statistics
Trouble shooting and correspondence on all outreach sites
Work in liaison with Karachi lab team and HI for development of an affective e Pathology software.
Continually develop efficient, comprehensive and innovative processes to provide clinical laboratories services that exceed the expectation of our clients and make profitable business case.
Establish systems of continues training of lab staff, after initiation of outreach labs.
