L1 & L2 & L3 IT Support Engineer
It is with boundless interest that I am writing to apply for the above named position. I have been part of GlaxoSmithKline’s Information Technology division for last 20 years. My job role includes supporting day to day IT operational tasks, IT infrastructure services and providing end user services that is not only limited to troubleshooting software and hardware related issues in the laptops, desktops, multifunctional devices, iPad roll outs and supporting other mobile devices. Currently I am based at the Korangi site of GSK.
I hold a variety of IT trainings and diplomas that I accomplished over the years through my career and as per the need basis. I am an associate engineer in electrical. I accomplished a diploma in computer hardware, computer software. I am also achieved Cisco Certified Network Associate training in Routing and Switching.
My experience at GlaxoSmithKline has been varied in Commercial and Global Manufacturing Supply business and Consumer business units. Through this experience I have developed a great understanding of business processes and their ways of working. During my professional so far career in the Information Technology function of GSK, I have been involved in the delivery of some critical technical projects that added great values for instance Information Workplace deployment back in 2010 that included Office 2007 roll out decommissioning of legacy Lotus Notes system and replacing it with Outlook, SharePoint and incorporating Microsoft Live meeting as a collaborative tool. Another key achievement was the roll out of Windows 7 in the year 2012 as a key value driver to the organization. Furthermore the great milestone so far been the redesign of data center at West Wharf site that included provisioning of precision cooling systems along with the installation of uninterrupted power supplies in accordance and compliance with the design and guidelines of modern day data centers. The transition from IBM AS400 to SAP is another significant achievement as a team in a timely manner. I actively participated in launching the Wi-Fi network services in the GMS unit.
I have a proven track record of being an active member of customer focused IT service delivery environment having expertise supporting to the remote users of field force staff of GSK Pakistan spread across nationwide having nearly 900 users. I am also capable and well versed in the business continuity planning in the event of any unplanned outages or disruption in the IT services.
I have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. I am extremely hard working, self-driven and a fast learner.
