Sitara Chemicals is the largest Chlor-Alkali plant with 630 MTD caustic soda production by state-of-the-art membrane Electrolysis cell technology (by Asahi Kasei & UHDENORA Gen. III, IV), integrated with SUPCON DCS. Also, Hydrochloric acid, Sodium Hypochlorite, Bleaching Powder and Liquid Chlorine are produced as allied products.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensured safe plant operations involving both auto and manual operations, as well as materials, supplies and equipment are readily and continuously available for workers to carry out production process
· Worked on state-of-the-art membrane electrolysis system for production of caustic soda, Hydrogen and Chlorine, PD compressors and pumps, air compressors, utilities and gas purification (Pressure swing adsorption) and dehydration units
· Instrumental in DCS/ PLC control systems, implementing continuous plant improvements for increased productivity and waste reduction and optimizing plant operations to meet quality and production standards.
· Served as a resource in all efforts to implement overall plant policies and procedures to ensure effective operations, scheduled routine inspection and maintenance of plant equipment to prevent machine downtime.
· Supervised plant operations to meet production requirements in timely and cost-effective manner, well aware with PPEs and respective uses and strongly familiar with Safety procedures and General Safety including First Aid and its uses.
Key Projects: (Feb 2018 to Apr 2019)
· Worked on Installation and Commissioning of M-1 Plant for generation of 85 MT caustic soda & 74 MT Chlorine, through membrane electrolysis technology, UDHE-NORA (Generation-VI).
An integral part of the process engineering team controlled all technical challenges associated with product, chemical mixing, Evaporation and acid plant management. Exhibited a meticulous regard for administrative detailing and adeptly handled material balances. Expertly distilled and managed processes; enhanced internal structure; and streamlined production of different products.
Key Responsibilities:
· Inducted as the Tr. Engineer Chemical and progress through a series of position passing through the position of “Chemical Engineer finally got promoted to the Sr. Chemical Engineer”
